FAQs
Where are you based?
I don’t work from a fixed base; instead, I bring my sessions directly to the spaces where they’re needed. I deliver workshops in schools, parish halls and community venues, and I’m able to come to you, whether that’s a workplace, care setting or local community space. As long as there’s a comfortable area to move, create and connect, I will adapt the session to suit the environment and the people within it.
What if I don’t sing or make art?
It does not matter! These workshops aren’t about creating a perfect piece of art to take home, they’re about the experience, the process and the personal journey. While some people enjoy making something tangible, the true value lies in what happens along the way: the movement, expression, connection and release.
Our sessions focus on how creativity can support your physical, emotional and mental wellbeing, not on producing a final product. You don’t need any artistic skills or finished work to come or, to benefit; simply being present and engaging in the process is at the heart of it all.
Predominantly, I run group workshops, as they play a vital role in supporting community wellbeing. The creative arts are particularly powerful when shared as a group, all whilst bringing people together. When individuals participate in shared music-making, movement, drama activities or simple creative play, they naturally start to connect, often more easily than through conversation alone. Group sessions have been shown to reduce feelings of social isolation and foster community by creating a welcoming space where people can be part of something shared, consistent and uplifting. The sense of belonging that grows within a creative group can help individuals feel less alone, more confident and more understood.
Social cohesion is more important than ever nowadays and this can be strengthened when participants collaborate in creative tasks which encourage teamwork, empathy and mutual support, helping groups build trust and a sense of safety. Over time, these experiences ripple outward, enriching wider community connections and fostering resilience. Whether the group is long-term or comes together for a one-off workshop, the benefits reach beyond the session itself: people leave feeling lighter, more connected, more rooted in their community, and more seen as an individual.
1:1s and alternate provision are also available for those who may struggle more in a group than not. Please reach out if you would prefer this.
